Environmental Surveyors measure and assess environmental conditions associated with projects, such as responsible land use, environmental management, contamination and environmental auditing. Geomatics and Land Surveyors measure and assess information about the natural and man-made features of a site, including buildings and boundaries.
Some employers may require an RICS accredited degree for Environmental Surveyors, or an RICS postgraduate qualification following an unrelated degree course. A degree in geography, surveying or another STEM subject is often required for Geomatics and Land Surveyors. Surveyors can work towards Chartered status.
