Building Control Surveyors work on both new build and building modification projects to make sure that both the design and construction comply with relevant legislation such as building regulations, fire safety measures and energy efficiency as well as safety issues such as structural stability. 

How do I get into this role?

Building Control Surveyors often require an RICS accredited degree, which may be gained by sponsored study while working or through an apprenticeship degree programmes.
